hose clamp s 61/15
hose clamp s 59/15
hose clamp sgt 20 -32/9

What is that saying?

First number is clamping range (in mm), second is (usually) the band width in mm.

Listing of most of the normaclamp specs are here:

http://www.normagroup.com/norma.nsf/res/NORMACLAMP_TORRO_en.pdf/$file/NORMACLAMP_TORRO_en.pdf

Check out the torque caps on page 11- probably holds the answer to how much torque is appropriate for a given clamp....

Tip of solder gun.

Zip..done.

I asked originally because I was considering these..but it would cosrt a minor fortune to do "all at once". I might do them over time...dunno..but still always carry a hose clamp kit in the back.

Interesting, the synchronicity of issues. There's this thread, as well:

EXPERTS please chime in: how much to torque hose clamps?

I've seen tools used by the military that are torque limiting wrenches for hose clamps and the value is small. The "job" of most clamps isn't tension, its holding size so the hose doesn't slip over a barb.

In the bottom of the "overview" section there is some info on tightening specs .
Interesting read- never heard of anyone actually doing it.
