The Walbro you posted is the one I installed in my '79. Fits right in the slot, runs quiet, great price. I measured the flow output and it was about 2x the minimum specified in the WSM. In short, a nice pump made by a reputable american company...not some cheap asian knock off. I would suggest buy it, install it and be done. No reason to change it again later.
Fuel pump only live a little while. Maybe 50K miles, maybe 100K miles. I would not consider a used one with such a good and affordable choice new.

Man, cars like this are why I used to keep all sorts of spare parts. Sadly I tossed a huge load of things that I thought I'd never use away a month or so ago, couple of used pumps went in the trash. I'll look around and see if there is anything around here that you can use.
Great meeting you this past weekend.

I bought one in the same condition and sent the injectors to Witch Hunter and they did the injectors and crimped a new hose on the injector for about $200. CarQuest had the new type injector connectors with the boot for $10 each, ruled out a lot of proplems in one swoop. Best money I've spent in a while.

Having the injectors serviced is definitely on the top of my list of things to do. NoVector has offered to send me a spare fuel pump for free so I may be doing the injectors sooner than I planned. I want to see if it will run before I send them off to see if there is any other more pressing issues that need addressed.

Well the fuel pump that NoVector sent may be here late this week or beginning of next week. Just ordered all of the accessory belts, intake gaskets, fuel line kit, and a new fuel filter from Roger today. If the weather warms up I'm hoping to see if she will come back to life before the end of the month! At least that is my goal

Thanks to NoVector I now have a fuel pump waiting for me at home! Thank you kind sir. I am now waiting on parts from Roger that should be here in the next day or 2. Then I'm just hoping for some nice weather this weekend to get the car all buttoned up and check fuel pressure/leaks.
