The Shah of Iran had one of the the very first models released to the public back in 1978 just before he got chased out of town - a 3 speed black auto- I sat in in it two years ago at an exhibition in the grounds of his former palace in Zafforanieh, Northern Tehran two years ago. Needless to say it was not in running condition at the time but surprisingly was in pretty good shape cosmetically.
Now I bet not many of you have seen or even heard of that one before!

Kudos! I have had some success, but little fame, as principal in the Lake George Chamber Orchestra - local winds but strings mostly from Juililard/NYC. My talent was to get along with the neurotic director, who chased away the better horn players.

famous people and the 928
I saw Linda Ronstadt the singer in San Francisco parking her white 928, next to my new 80 brown 928 in a parking lot by union square. I did not know her at the time and we were talking about our 928s.
