New to Rennlist 944S2
Hey everyone, I've been lurking for awhile and finally decided to join.
I picked up a 1989 S2 a month ago and have been steadily bringing it back to what the original owner had intended, alot was off at first and needed some TLC.
When i first got the car it had a terrible front end shake, did some research and it was the castor blocks, so i went ahead and rebuilt the control arms with new ball joints and paragon spherical bearings (worth every penny)
Plus the windows kept falling into the door (one of the small tracks was flipped)
And then I got bored and made a V-Band exhaust for the car.
Im now looking for a LSD and starting to collect some of the few off the shelf items for a 3.0 16v turbo.
Thanks for looking,
-Austin

I do plan on keeping the front spoiler as it is functional.. it was a shocker the first time i got under the car and saw that it goes the length of the bumper. Also yes im keeping the lexan headlights i really like them.
Little update, the old harness in the car was 6 years out of date, so bought a full Racequip 6pt and installed it, now im legal until 2020.

Well I've been very busy the last few months...mainly trying to make money to continue building the car for this season.
Well let this be known now that this car is being used for drifting, not the norm but thats what makes it kinda cool right?
To start off the front struts were gone, so out they came and got the Koni Hack-a-Strut treatment and paragon coilover sleeves with 350lb springs. Along with some camber plates
Next up i wanted to give the rear of the car something that sets it apart, I thought a diffuser would look good and really give the car a aggressive look from the rear, this required deleting the spare tire well.
Then mounted up the diffuser and made the necessary adjustments
Then got the car on the ground and set a few things up and lowered the rear as much as eccentrics allowed. and how the car sits currently, don't mind the rear wheels they are the spares for the rear when at events.
Really looking forward to this season....here's to hoping the rod bearings last through it!
Thanks,
-Austin

To create a area of low pressure under the rear of the car much like the factory diffuser, in fact this is the same angle so it might* be functional.
I dont have a wind tunnel to test it.
It also helps this car by adding surface area to the side of the rear, this makes the air push the rear of the car more at high angles and should make it more Stable...
All of that is theory^ i just like the way it looks

Hmmmm, where abouts in Kentucky? My S2 is still in "storage" in Tennesee, but will be driving it to BG hopefully later this year. Good progress, where will you be drifting? If you ever come sown to NCM motosports park let me know.
