Need S2 cam drive housing
Yes I am need of the housing that encloses the cam drive gear and what the distributor cap bolts to. As you can see, mine is falling apart and I had to make some wire clips to hold it together enough so the distributor cap aligns properly with the rotor.
Why did this happen? Just for starters, it is made from magnesium, like the valve cover. Magnesium is terrible with respect to corrosion (not to mention other mechanical properties). Yes, I should have painted it when it the paint started coming off, too many other priorites in the way for too long.
So, anyone have an S2 salvage engine from which they would be willing to part with these parts? Or know where I might locate them?

Thanks for the help, I really thought these would be harder to find than this.
I originally wanted to use C-clamps but did not have any the right size, but I did have this thick, stiff wire to make a sort of spring clamp that pulled it together enough to work. Temporary / permanent repair schemes are my specialty I actually get paid to do it, only for a 20 year old edition of a 60 year old design airplane.

IIRC rennbay sells an aluminum replacement that won't fall apart. If you go with OEM, make sure it stays painted, i see the paint coming off your valve cover too, Magnesium doesn't really like to run exposed. The lack of paint it likely what killed the cover! Pull that valve cover and paint it too before it goes bad.
