Default 944 Turbo Conv

Drar Friends,

Advice please. I have been offered a 944 Turbo Conv....

I know its a rare car...

Any advice on the car and whether I should buy, I am a novice collector.

Many thanks in advance.

ANY car is only worth what a buyer is willing to pay. If you want it and the price is something you are willing to pay for it, buy it. I've always wanted a turbo cab!

I would love to see some pics. I think most people here would love to own one. I know I surely would.

IMHO if its clean, low mileage, and more importantly up to date on all maintenance, 30k sounds reasonable. please post pics of interior, exterior, and under hood. BTW in case you didnt know, all cabs also were equipped with turbo S running gear.

Did I read that right, $32,000 US?

If I did I'd pass on that car. It seems way over priced IMO.
S2 cars are already making close to the same HP as a turbo but without the maintenance of a turbo. If you really wanted a turbo cab, it'll be cheaper to buy a cab and install a turbo motor in it, which a number of people have done already.

If you are purchasing as a "collector" car then there are other Porsche cars in that price range that will appreciate in value more so than the 944.

If you do get the car be sure to post pictures

Many thanks for your advice....

I have recently started collecting Porsches and have a 1989 930 Conv, a 3.2 Carrera Conv, a 993 4S, and a 996 Turbo S....

I was attracted to the 944 Turbo Conv as I always loved the car as a child....

Which Porsches would be on your list to collect?

Kind regards

Gaurav

I think European prices are usually higher. While I'm not saying it is a good price, the OP should do some research.

Post pics. Great find!

Happy Holidays!

Definitely don't get too many turbo cabs popping up for sale, so might be hard to get a market $ value on it.

3.6 94 turbo would be on my list, as well as a late model 928 gts. The 996 tts is a bad a** car. I had a tuned 996tt that I sold, but was an absolute amazing car. Best car for the money right now.

Matching numbers 914-6 would be a good car to hold on too.
