Default C pillar bolt size

I'm installing a harness bar into my car that bolts into the B and C pillars. The B pillar bolt is the seat belt guide, but I can't figure out what size the C pillar bolt is. It had a plastic threaded cap in it, so I got bolts matching the diameter and pitch but they're too small, they almost pull right out. I searched my vast nut and bolt collection for a bolt but none would fit. Do any harness bar manufacturers offer a bolt kit? I'm stumped. Thanks!

It's a fine thread - but I'm not sure of the size. It's standard for seat belt mounting on a lot of the German cars.

I *think* it might be M10x1... but don't quote me on that.

Great, I'll have to go to the junkyard when I get some more time off and snag a few from several German cars.

Thanks!!!

7/16-20 for seat belt fasteners, US & Porsche, probably others. Just confirmed on the car.
