The Tassie Targa is on many a bucket list down here, as Tasmania has some of the best driving roads in the world, and so to race on them in this event(all roads are closed to the public during the event) would be amazing. Porsche Australia actually have an organised event that follows the Targa stages and lets you do some spirited driving on the same stages, while they are still closed to the public, which I would love to do too as well.

Many 944s have taken on the targa and some with great sucess over the years

Actor Eric Bana did the documentary "Love the Beast" which included his drive around Tasmania in his very hot Ford... quite enjoyable.
