Default Fabspeed is working on NA exhausts...

Hi Guys,

We are finishing up R&D on the first of two new products for the normally aspirated 944 crowd.

First up is a section 1 Sport Cat/Cat bypass pipe. This pipe is all CNC mandrel bent, with internally welded header flanges and a high flow 200 Cell Sport Catalytic converter, or a high flow resonator, to replace the factory catalytic converter, which by now is over 20 years old. The system uses twin 1 7/8" pipes which transition into a single 2.25". These two pipes are carefully shaped and not cut flat and just inserted into the single tube. What this does is create a proper 2-into-1 merge that increases exhaust scavenging (due to the 944 stock camshaft grind this mainly helps higher rpm power/torque). Anything larger is unnecessary for the non turbo cars and actually loses low end torque.

We will have dyno data to share in the coming weeks as we are developing the rest of the system for this car. Here are a few pictures we have so far to share:

Excellent! Looking forward to hearing how it sounds! I have an S2, any chance you have a price range that this exhaust system will be sold for?

Are you doing any research using aftermarket mufflers? I would like to hear the results using a "complete" package. You're product, as always, is a welcome addition to this "forgotten" model of the Porsche line.

Awesome! I'd love a catbypass for a 968.

Very interested, time to replace mine - this looks like a top option.

Depending on cost, I've been patiently waiting to pull the plug on a exhaust system

I hear that...

Have a bursch catback on mine and while it sounds fine, I am not too thrilled with all the black paint baking off and a less than appealing lack of exhaust tip...

Until this thread I thought for sure I'd go the custom route but this looks very promising.

If this bolts between my OEM manifold and Dansk catback, I will be very interested.
