I don't find anything, there is a shop in Croatia, but don't know if they are what they say they are, or will this be just one more fail when I get there.

I even mailed porsche factory old timer rebuild/maintenance shop and they replied that they do not know who does this kind of stuff. wtf. Either they just order stuff from factory, or they do not want to share the information.

Anybody know any shop in germany that did alusil and know exactly how to do this?

Not really. Maybe with a lot of work. Ill cross that bridge when I get there. If it wont fit Ill get something that will. Twin scroll Bw EFR with integrated bw&wg would be nice choice.

Just got a call from machinist, they managed to destroy my 2.7 block Something went bad with machine head and it scored one cylinder to the point of no salvage.

Ouch. I assume they will compensate you for it?

I hope so. They seem to be a reputable business and owner personally called me and apologized, he said they have done numerous alusil blocks for porsche mercedes and audi, but this time something went bad with the boring head and it destroyed the cylinder. They are two hours away in another country though so I can not go there to check it out today..

Still, better block than pistons.

I will just install bicycle pedals in this car sometime soon.

Or a v8 and never have problems again =p

Just kidding, hopefully they find you another block or at least compensate you. Are you going to check it out later this week sometime? Is it hard to get 2.7 stuff where you're at?

There is exactly zero of this stuff here, I can get new block from germany for aproximately the same price as same weight in gold or from UK, prices there are relatively good but shipping for block is approx. $300.

Ls engines here are exotic stuff.

And today something nice came via mail.

Milledge Engineering 2.7/3.0 head studs.

Btw: if there is anybody from Europe with 2.7/3.0 block for sale, I want to buy it.

Voith,

For what it's worth I have some miscellaneous engine parts you are welcome to for the cost of shipping. You already have my pistons I believe. No block or head here, just internals and small parts. Block and had were bad but we stripped all usable hardware and parts from them.
