Brake problem
I just replaced front and rear brake pads and changed the brake fluid using a power bleeder. the problem is now the brake pedal travels to low before the brakes engage. It's a litle freaky. What's the deal?

Brought car in to mechanic and they bled brakes. Said was a lot of air in right rear. Brakes are still not good. checked for leaks under dash by brake and clutch, nothing, looked for leaks around resevoir and MC found nothing. Any ideas? Mechanic said it could be the pads.

How old are your brake flex hoses (the small hoses that run from the solid lines to the calipers)?
Look for buldges. Squeeze them and see if you can find any soft spots. Have some else press the brake pedal and watch the hoses and see if they are expanding anywhere. Could be that some of the pressure is being displaced by a soft spot, causing the hose to expand?
I dunno, just a thought.

Sounds like you have got all the air out so I would
recheck all the things you had apart. Look for binding pads,
sprung calipers, loose wheel bearings, things like that.
Good luck

Something is causing the pads to need to move too much to touch the
rotor on one or more wheels. Make sure the clips and retainers are installed
correctly.
