924 2.0 won't start
Well i have been searching and reading lots of topics about non starting 924 but no help.
Have a 1981 924 2.0 car had been standing for a few years. Then i bought it. It ran but only with high (3000rpm) idle. I thought it would be dirt or something like that.
I changed the belts, rotor, sparkplugs and waterpump and now the car simply does not start.
I had timingmarks on cam and flywheel alligned. Checked the distributor. Changed back the old sparkplugs, cap etc but it just wont start..
what could it be? Driving me nuts
I smell fuel, and the sparkplugs are wet

Sounds like it has trouble turning the engine round. Starter?

What is the voltage drop across the battery terminals? Have you checked, and re-checked, all power/ground connections, especially at the chassis, battery, and starter?
Pull the battery...will it start a different car? No...time for a new battery. Yes...time for a new/rebuilt starter.
