Dead cylinder
I have a 67 912 with about 2,000 miles on a rebuild. I seem to have developed a dead cylinder at #2. I pull plug wires from all cylinders and get the associated loss of power. In #2 I get no response. The car idles fine when I drive it there is a noticeable loss of power and it runs as if it is missing.
Now, I have 110 lbs of compression. I am getting spark and I can see fuel flow down into the venturi. Also the valves do adjust.
I have peeled away sheet metal and taken off he intake manifold to try and get a view of the intake valve. I am looking for a dropped valve seat. Any suggestions would be welcome
Thanks

Hello
A droped valve seat should have allready crashed the cylinder.
Don´t hassle and check with new spar plugs . look at your ols sparkplug if they got hit by the piston. If yes then shim them with a secound washer.
Very comon by flycuts without messurments.
You also should have CC the combustion chamber.
