fikse or linea corsa fox.....???
looking for real life experience on these.....
I am getting a quote of just over $6400 for a set of fikses and I think that linea corsa foxs would be around $2k
for a car that wont ever see a track, is it still worth it to pay three times for Fikses?
The lip on Fikse does seem to look nicer.....
any recommendations ?

If you are entertaining Fusch replicas like Linea Corsa Fox you should look at the Maxilite too. My Maxilite 16x9 came in right at $400 each and yes, they even have the German TUV endorsement..
Or go with the Braid at about 800 each.

Fikse-$6400 set
Linea Corse=@$1500 set
Euromeister=@$1000 set
Braid= @$3200 set
The latter 3 are available on Pelican....Really depends on your needs/usage/budget
I went Euros....

I don't particular care about weight, what I think is different is the size/shape of the outer lip-the Fikse I think is much nicer, but not sure if worth the extra money.
what I don't want is to buy a wheel that is so fragile I am having to align or balance all the time, or worse yet, something that will literally break.
anyone have the Linea Corse wheels and had good experience? I am not going to drive the car hard like I used to when I was 18 :-)

ooh those Fikse wheels look good.
I would definitely say that weight is a consideration, especially if you've upgraded the brakes and are now looking at wider tires too. That weight will make a difference.

Here is the Maxilite US based ebay store for Fusch. You can't beat the weight, the look, or the price:
16x8 at $240+20 shipping....come on....it's a smokin' deal.
16x9 at $270+20 shipping....are you kidding me? I paid $400 each and thought I stole them.

I think I paid around $880 or so back in 2005 for 9" Fuchs 930 wheels new in the box from Porsche. At the time I believe there were less than 10 new stock in the entire world. I had bid on and lost several online auctions for used 7" and 9" Fuchs at prices that were higher than that. It's interesting that to Porsche, they are just parts. They come in a cardboard box and it's rather underwhelming to look at the packaging. And yet you'd think they were Tiffany & Co diamond jewelry the way I was giddy over receiving them.

I was unaware that Zuffenhaus/Fikse fuchs had gone up so much in price. I paid just shy of $5k for mine 2 years ago. I also have a set of 15" Fifteen52 Outlaws that I switch out with the Zuffs.
The pros to the Zuffs is that you can get custom offsets - so they'll fill out the wheel wells perfectly with no spacers or rubbing. The smooth lip is an upcharge and looks great. Much like the original fuch.
The cons to the Zuffs is that you have to pay 100% up front. Most custom wheels are 50% up front and remaining 50% upon completion. I think my set almost took 8 weeks where most customs take around 6.

Fiske are known to be some of the best wheels in the 911 community and are recognized by other car enthusiasts.
It's a big cash delta if you go with the other brands which are fine for your car.
Good luck on your decision.

My understanding is that, even though Fikse absorbed/bought the Zuffenhaus manufacturing rights, if not mistaken, the current Fikse forged Fuchs replicas do not have this square step in the lip profile.
Can anyone confirm or deny this?
