Default 911SC oil dump during storage?

I noticed that my 1979SC has leaked a boat load of oil while in storage this winter....

It never leaked since i bought the car earlier 2016.

Massive pool of oil under the car now?

What would cause this while parked?

Canadian SPAM!

Please follow the rules. Very stupid move to pimp your product without even paying for membership.

Pelican has a check-valve that keeps the oil in the tank.

Edit:. This is what I was talking about. I don't own an SC so I am not 100℅ sure this is the solution..... and I think you can find the same part at Pelican.

Sorry about my being rude, but I have seen too much new user spam.

I revived a car that had been sitting for years, and when I finally got it running, it smoked heavily. The heat exchangers were FILLED with oil. Had to pull the exchangers and clean them the best I could. Somehow oil got through the rings while sitting. I have not had any issues since then. I drive the car as often as I can now.

I just had the same thing with my '86 Targa. Haven't put it on the lift yet, but my suspicion is that the seals on the oil return tubes leaked when the weather turned very cold.

Yes I have heard it can be the oil return tubes also .it does make sense that the tank is not holding It and it is leaking back into the crankcase in the first place causing it to leak at the oil return tube seals, although my car has never done this.
Steve Weiner has talked before about this check valve so he obviously must have seen this before on several occaisons .

I don't get the SPAM bit but maybe it was deleted before I got here.

There was a new user that spammed 4 different sub-forums with his first 4 posts trying to sell a part that would not have solved the problem.

....And he was from Canadia.
