I wonder what's going on. I live in the suburbs of New Haven and called Sloan last year about a car. I gave them all my contact info and Richard said he would set up an appointment but I never heard from him again. Needless to say I bought a different car. I can't find an address anywhere but I probably drive by twice a day...

I finally received the minimum amount of my sales contract with Sloan of 75K and Sloan tells me he sold car for 80K , this is after Richard Sloan personally told me he made a mistake on the sale and was going to make it right with me ,needless to say very disappointed the car was a 1993 RS America with 36k miles and never raced or messed with ,it was not perfect but not abused either these cars are bringing over 100k with much nigher miles and not as clean , I personally watched 2 go thru Mecum for over 100k , Oh well I guess thats a hard lesson learned

Again, having bought and sold car with Richard, his deal with me has always been, "tell me what you want, and I will not take the car , unless I can get you what You want, I will not take the car" It sounds like you told him the least you would take was $75K , and that is what you got. If you low balled the car, then shame on you.
That being said, having to wait 5 months for your money is unexcusiable. Possession of the title should still give final say on the sale.

Similar story a few weeks ago. They said they don't disclose their address for security reasons. I also tried to arrange an appointment to visit (as I was going to be in the area) and they never followed up. Seems like a tough way to sell cars.
Obviously not receiving funds past any reasonable amount of time is inexcusable.

Richard doesn't give anything away and it's highly doubtful he "made a mistake" in selling the car too low. He's been doing this way too long. Perhaps he sold it as part of a package deal and used the RSA as a loss leader. That being said not sure why the OP would agree to a minimum of $75,000.

When he took the car in july of 2014 the prices were just starting to rise, my min was 75k and anything over was to be split ,the asking price was 150K to start, and I did find out the sale was a 2 car deal , that doesn't mean you rip one seller off just because the min was low and to make a 2 car sell ,I had also asked several times for my car to be returned or a new contract written up in 2015 ,it never happened ,in sept. of 2015 there was a PPI and I was told it was sold and could never get a price ,kept being told it was a package deal and they were neg.

In all likelihood he "shifted" the difference between the real selling price and the "fake" selling price of $80k to the other car. There IS NO WAY Sloan sold your RSA for $80k net. In hindsight there were certainly things you could have done to"get your car back" such as simply show up at his warehouse and demand the car. Hopefully you owned the car for awhile and made a decent profit. Lessons learned for any and all future transactions.
