Hi All. My new to me 1982 SC coupe is now on the truck and should reach it's new home Friday or Saturday this week. I feel like a 12 year old kid again (my wife says I act like I'm 12 all the time anyway……).
The car is very well sorted, but I'm sure I'll have a few questions once I start driving, prodding, probing, etc. I wanted to say how much I appreciated the support from everyone on the board in terms of offering advice while I was searching for my car and weighing options.
The one question I do have right now is if anyone has experience with a good indoor cover that fits well for a whale tail car? If so, who makes it and where did you get it from? Also, what grade of unleaded do these puppies like to run best on?

With the 930-16 you should have in place....9.3-1 you could use mid range Octane but I always used hi test out of caution. I believe the Euro fuel req. equated to 87 actually.
Err on the side of caution.
No idea on the other issue.

Run 91 or better, given the CR and the state of today's fuels.

I've used flannel-lined Covercraft car covers for 30+ years and I like them very much.

And look for non ethanol fuels in my mind a very important consideration.

Here's a pic of the engine from below that the seller sent me. Bone dry even when it sits for weeks.......very happy about that.

Hard as it may be for some to believe, but the 911SC engines stayed very dry underneath. It was the earlier magnesium cased engines that were leaky and nightmares to maintain! My 1981 SC-Turbo remained dry for many years.
