I love the French Bulldog as well! Very close to a pug, which is obviously my favorite. You take him / her for rides? Sarge was always going for rides / very well adjusted to cars. From when he was a pup (back in late 90s), I would drive him into my office everyday (in a '99 M3 ), so he wouldn't be alone. Sarge passed few years ago, RIP buddy!

Sorry to hear that Sarge is no longer with us... Very cool you keep his name alive with your online name here on Rennlist.

The little dude in the pics is our Boston Terrier ("Dotsy")... He's all about cars and riding in them... He gets plenty of ride time in my truck and roadtrips are fun with him... but he doesn't get much time in the 911's since he has a nasty habit of leaving his presence known on leather interiors...

Yeah... I'm starting to appreciate more and more how that could be a possibility... But that 40th Anniversary 996 is one special misunderstood/underappreciated car as well... It's hard for me to fathom letting it go... My biggest wish is to be able to keep both cars running as long as I possibly can (albeit the eventual implosion of the 996's engine will pretty much determine its own faith... )

Thanks and we sure do, between my wife and 3 young kids, he will always be a big park of the family. Kids are itching for a puppy now, surprised they held out for over 2 yrs.
I hear ya about "presence" although I don't think Sarge ever made a mistake. His shedding though was a nightmare for my interior! I started putting down blankets.

Hi and welcome to the air cooled side of things. Sounds like you have a well sorted car there. Enjoy in good health.

Thanks for the story. My wife is also encouraging me to fill that empty spot with a 1987 coupe. Love those Southern gals! Found one with one owner, 105k miles, retired engineer and all service records. Good condition, certainly not concourse. He's about ready to hand his baby over to me because he knows I'll continue the pampering. Just one question…what do I offer him $$$?
Thanks in advance for your comments.

Very nice indeed. I, too, like the subtle script on the sides. Have not seen it in that color. Enjoy!
Hope to me one like it one day.

Lucky you!... I offered for mine low 40K's... Primarily since the car had major overhaul less than a year ago of main items like engine, clutch, transmission, suspension, instrument gauges, original paint and interior leather restoration. It's all original, have known car since last 15 yrs and previous 2 owners. I wouldn't say the car is concours, but it's definitely a pristine driver for sure.

I'm an engineer as well so I can relate. Has the seller said what he thinks his car is worth? Do you know the condition of major components?. Definitely have a PPI done and based on results you'll have a better idea what to offer. And if all is good you're probably looking at offering north of $35K.

Best of luck!...

He's somewhere around market here in So Cal. $37k. PPI is a must. Love the '87. Classic lines.
Best and enjoy your summer!

Quick question: Same price for a 2005 911 or the '87. Completely different cars. Which one of the $35k?

Hi Darek,
This one is not for sale... It's a keeper!...
Must keep looking through classified adds here on Rennlist, Pelican parts forum, TheSamba.com, Hemmings, EBay, etc etc... Best of luck!
