Okay maybe it's just me but I have no idea what a pushrods tube is

The most common sources of oil leaks are many. It is not world ending as a lot if cars leak oil.

Oil return tubes
Triangle of death (oil sender, internal thermostat, breather cover )
Oil cooler seals
Valve covers

To a lesser degree:
Rocket shafts
BAse gaskets
Chain box -cam tower interface
Rms
Cam tower - head interface

lots of proven good advice here.

When everything seems to be working and fluids are up to snuff a good " German tuneup" is on order

pushrod tubes exist on air cooled aircraft engines, but certainly not on ours...

Sorry, old habit on the pushrods tubes. Yes, they are oil return tubes. Ps, Corvairs were not Overhead Cam and the oil returned thru the same tubes the pushrods ran thru.

Back to orig poster, flush your brake fluid soon. Possibly the most over looked on cars not tracked regularly. Js

Mine is completely to pieces and i have found nothing overwhelming yet.

356,912 and 914 all have pushrods, not just airplane engines.

Hehehe taking it apart is easy...the difficulty would be to put it back together... I would end up with a 5 cylinder car, and some parts to do an ashtray!!! Hehehe

It would be fantastic if I had someone to help me do it and guide me...but the "do it yourself culture" is not as wide here as it is in The USA...unfortunately.

It's even hard to find a good honest Porsche specialist mechanic...there's always someone trying to rip you off.

I just recently changed the oil on my 964 and it was a very satisfying moment...a sensation of achievement...

Thanks

Hi guys...have the car doing a service, oil, plugs, valve covers, brakes pads, etc.

I've seen I'll have to invest in the near future in:

- exhaust system...should I go stock? Or "improve" sound, (without going bankrupt please). I have a G pipe on my 964 and love it...100 dollars "upgrade...

- clutch, should I go stock or reinforced? Will the car handle differently?

Would appreciate your opinions...

I also have a 964 and regret moving to the Fabspeed system... the sound of just the cat delete and G-Pipe was awesome... anyway, back to the SC...

You say, without breaking the bank... that does not give too many options

I am doing this to mine, but you are looking at close to US$3K:

With these to quiet it down a bit...

Wow...if that sounds as it looks, it should be amazing.

Yeah, the 964 G piped sounds like a 3000 Dls system...for 200 dls....

I'm looking for a 1 single outlet system...should I go OEM or the spaghetti racing system? Anywhere I can hear sound differences? In The YouTube videos the sound improvement doesn't seems much...

That car looks fantastic, is it a 3.2 with a conversion?

If you are just looking for sound... get a M&K muffler. That is what you see there. It comes in different configurations.
