I really don't know at the moment. I'll be checking in with John very soon and can get that answered.

My ultimate cost from him will include the interior removal and installation, on top of painting it.

We will be using Glasurit primer and Glasurit Silver Metallic paint.

BEST!

(you know things aren't going as smoothly as it normally would when you're providing "quarterly updates" on a post).........aside.

A longer thread exists over on Pelican ( http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...t-resto-8.html ) yet wanted to update fellow Rennlisters on the slow-going process.

As mentioned, I sent my front seats, dash, console and door handles back for rework. I'm told all is looking perfect and that I can expect them within 30 days. So goes that process, so I wait.

All else is VERY ready, to include the best damned Painter around,...Mr. John Holt of HotWheels in Marietta, GA. He assures me that she's hard as nails (multiple primes) and quite ready for paint. He simply doesn't want to shoot it until every single restoration piece is "in-hand"....I totally agree.

We're getting close to the end of a journey of which I had no idea (clue) as to how long this would take.

She's coming soon!

BEST!

A good friend has been working on his track car for several years and is approaching completion. Great project, and he's a total neat freak.

He insists that we drop the engine (upon arrival home) and make the needed efforts to make the engine match the rest of the car. He just sent me this pic, for inspiration (fucher'''). BEAUT!!!

Well,..well. It looks like I will have the remaining interior pieces inbound next week. Can't believe it's taken this long. Am inventorying the interior pieces this evening and am swamped with the rich smell of the leather that Tony has placed on the pieces.

Once all arrives, she'll go in for paint at John Holt's place in Marietta GA (HotWheels).

Should be back in the pocket within (only) weeks.

Pics to come.

Best to all,

Doyle

Congrats on being so close. You're an inspiration to the terminally impatient among you. (Guilty.) My 'project' took me 7 months and I thought I'd crawl the walls.

Keep the overall vision in your sight and you'll be overjoyed with it. Cant wait to see the updates!
