Greetings to all! Sorry I've been absent for so long, as work has involved much travel,..living in studios and on frequent European concert tours.
I've updated the resto thread over on Pelican and would ask all fellow rennlisters to have a look to provide the expected valuable inputs.
Best to all of you!
Doyle

Thanks, Mike. I truly appreciate your offer!
What's truly "amazing" is what such an endeavor costs......not for the "faint-of-heart".
Post some pics of your baby!
My ultimate goal is to get it done so that I may take the run to Lizard Lick and have that cigar with Mr Moo !!
BEST!

Wow Doyle. Your in deeper than I expected. It's overwhelming looking at all those parts, and I also know the amount of effort sourcing them. Dealing with the factory is the right way to go, but you're sure to have a mass of NLA and supersceded items that take time to verify...lots of time chasing this level of detail. AND lots of trust in all the wonderful talent you've recruited.
Hang in there. If I can do anything for you, do call on me. You know I'm here.

I may be creating a monster, when all is said and done. As you well know, Bird,...I'm one who is a "driver",..and may ultimately need a "daily driver" to keep this restored girl off of the road any more than necc'y. We shall see.
Looks like the RUSH boys are done for a while (touring),..and taking a long, DESERVING break. Cannot wait to see what comes next (and, it WILL come!).
Soon, my friend!
BEST!

Doyle - here's a quick picture of my 89 25th SE - I have the day off and am headed out for a drive. Beautiful day in Western PA! I'll take a couple shots of my door handles and stitching and send them your way. Please let me know if you need anything else!
Take care,
Mike

Thanks Mike. Sister car, for sure! Saw the door arm pics over on PP and they speak for themselves.
Any/all pics are always welcome. Thanks for your interests.

Doyle,
What kind of glue will you be using to glue the door moisture barrier film? I have read on RL that many people use 3m strip calk/butyl strips but the factory used something else apparently.
Thanks,
Steve

@ Steve: I'll leave that to my Painter!
Please note that I've posted some current pics of our process over on PP (I don't wish to post in a redundant fashion) and they can be seen here:

I do believe they call that "primed". Big THANKS to John Holt (Hot Wheels/Marietta, GA) for sending me the updates. They took the car down to the factory primer. She's primed with
glasurit 2 k primer ($550.00 a gallon).
Damn! We're getting closer by the day now!!!
Best to all!!

I have been following your thread on Pelican... that car is coming along beautifully!!! Does not look like it will be long before you start putting all those nice leather covered parts back in! Woohooo!
