reviving this old thread ICV
so, lot's of interesting reading here - thanks!
here's the one scenario that did not appear to be covered in all the posts;
my ICV keeps humming AFTER the key is removed from the ignition...for days on end and will drain the battery in about 48 hours.
unplugged the ICV and charged battery...the charge held in the battery!
went to the DME relay...HOT as HELL! (again, key out - car not having run in over a week).
Checked DME relay - internally looks brand new. checked solders, joints, coils and contacts...looks great.
could the problem be in the ignition switch? maybe not disengaging the whole way? (after key is removed)
FWIW - car runs absolutely fine on the road once it starts.
