Wheel Bearing Grease
So I tried a search and didnt come up with anything. Wondering what people are using for wheel bearing grease in their race cars. I have typically ran Swepco 101 but was considering the Redline CV-2. Not sure what most people have had success with.
Thanks

The best you can buy for the older style tapered wheel bearing applications is Mobilith SHC 220 grease (available at Grainger among others places). This is what 100% of the NASCAR teams are running in thier tapered bearings. I learned this during a converstion with the SKF bearing racing products manager.
At approx $10 a tune you can't go wrong.

The mobil shc 220 is holding up very well for me. i was having problems before but the 220 solved it.

Redline is excellent...I have used it for many seasons and the races and bearings are like new. NEO makes an excellent grease also I am told. If you have seriously hot operating conditions I'd look for some Dupont Krytox grease...It is virtually indestructible...but very expensive. My experience with M1 grease was not so positive. IMHO there are much better greases out there and the cost difference is not significant.
