Is it a real Porsche?

I've only been asked a couple times if my 64' coupe is a kit. Lately most have asked what year it is, etc.
I don't really have an issue with the kit/replicas. IMO, they have a place in that they do offer the chance for someone to drive a fairly close copy of a car most will never afford, (Spyders, Speedsters, 427 Cobras, etc). My uncle's next door neighbor built one with his son 20 some odd years ago. It was spot on. Sure it's not real but gave him and his son many hours together doing the project. The son bought a B coupe later after he was grown but kept the replica too.
Edit to add, I wouldn't mind having one of the Beck 550 replicas I've seen. Pretty sure there's not a snowball's chance I'll ever have a real one.
