Star Power

Thanks to the booming popularity of Formula 1 - with the U.S. coming on board in recent years thanks to the mega-popular Netflix series Drive to Survive - its drivers have become bigger celebrities than ever before, though some enjoy a more divided fan base than others. That includes two-time F1 world champion, Max Verstappen, who some people love, while others, well, aren't exactly fans. Regardless, the mega-talented youngster is a big enough draw that his personal 911 GT2 RS is up for grabs at Scottsdale Ferrari with a pretty mega price tag.

Personal Ride

The Red Bull driver used this particular 911 GT2 RS Clubsport as his personal training car, which was maintained by the Red Bull Racing team itself. Bearing Verstappen's personal signature, it's certainly a special machine, even without its famous ownership history.

Rare Machine

Porsche built a mere 200 copies of the GT2 911 RS Clubsport in total, making this a rather rare and valuable beast on its own accord. Packing a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-six under its hood, this wicked-fast machine cranks out 700 horsepower without breaking a sweat, which doesn't have much weight to move around, either.

Record Breaker

When it debuted for the 2019 model year, the GT2 RS Clubsport was the most powerful non-street legal, GT customer sports car Porsche had ever built, a high-performance turnkey race car created for track day and Clubsport events on race tracks around the globe.

Suspension Wizardry

Aside from a momentous amount of power flowing to the wheels via a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, the GT2 RS Clubsport also features plenty of upgrades underneath, where it has been treated to three-way shocks with separately adjustable compression and rebound stages on the front and rear axle so that it can be dialed in perfectly for each track that it visits.

Weight and Aero

Of course, Porsche's GT cars are famous for their innovative weight savings techniques and aero as well, and the GT2 RS Clubsport is no exception -  it features carbon fiber-reinforced plastic on the roof, front lid, front apron, doors, tail section, and rear lid, along with an all-business interior. Out back, wind tunnel testing resulted in a larger rear wing and additional flics on the front apron to improve stability and downforce.

Special Car, Special Price

Clearly, this is a special machine for many reasons, but as one might imagine, there's just one big caveat - it's listed for a whopping $795,000, which is a ton of money for any car. However, for an F1/Red Bull/Max Verstappen fan with the means, it's also a pretty rare opportunity to own a very special machine with ties to all of them.
