2. Newly developed 8 speed Doppelkupplung engine

The latest models of the Panamera are equipped with the newly developed 8 speed Porsche Doppelkupplung. The first 6 gears have a sports ratio and top speed attained in 6th gear, while gears 7 and 8 have a long ratio. This helps keep the engine revs low even while attaining high road speed, allowing both an efficient and comfortable driving experience even over long distances. Gear shift precision down to the millisecond with no interruption in power flow meets and exceeds one's expectations in a sports car.

3. The luxury of a sedan

When the car is running electrically, via the E position on the steering wheel mounted dial, there is a physical detent in the throttle pedal travel that marks the threshold to engine activation. The electric mode has a top speed of 86 mph but does not suffer from any performance lag up to the point with a heavy foot on the pedal. There are two more e-friendly modes, E-Hold and E-Charge,  that can be found through the console touchscreen. E-Charge will run the engine so as to top off the battery if you are running low on power, while E-Hold will allow you to save the level of charge you are at and save it for later on. The E-hold feature will be plenty handy if you know that you will be stuck in slow moving traffic or simply want to enjoy a quiet drive after a noisy day.

4. Panamera has it all with SPORT mode.

With SPORT mode the Panamera can swap from comfort-oriented tuning to a sporty setup easily, giving versatility to an already amazing automobile. In SPORT mode the electronic engine management system demands sharper responses and engine dynamics become more precise. PDK shifts up later and down sooner with SPORT mode. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and (optional) Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC Sport) also switch to SPORT mode allowing for even greater agility through sharp turns and corners.

The tinted panoramic sunroof bathes the interior in as much or as little light as one could want. This two-piece, glass-paneled skylight can be both opened and tilted in the front. To drive the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is definitely an illuminating experience, all around.
