1. Hypothetical high-performance

Although not a real concept by Porsche, this electric motorcycle concept created by an industrial design student in Barcelona, Spain is an exercise in possibility. Miguel Bahri took elements of the 911 Turbo, 917, 918, and 919 models and melted them down to two-wheels for his sleek Porsche proposition. This is a middleweight power cruiser that is a sensible sports bike with an eco-friendly edge. If Porsche ever wanted to venture into two-wheel competition this would be an awesome contender.

2. The job to accomplish

Miguel was given the brief of creating a purely electric motorcycle that could exist in reality and be functional. He had to include a package proposal with batteries and an electric motor. Researching applicable technology that a bike like that would employ and execute in a manner that would look as if it rolled right off of the production line.

3. The 618

The bike is called the 618 as it sits right below the 718 range and is an entry-level two-wheel vehicle. The architecture of the bike is all about synergy due to the simplicity and cohesion of the iconic flat-six engine that Porsche has employed for generations. As you can see, the bike has a flat and low-center of gravity that flows right into the exterior form and suspension elements.

4. The heritage

The influence of Porsche vehicles can be seen in the center fan, Le Mans style doors over a trunk compartment, and the tail seat that appears to be modeled after the 917's rear end section. The 917-inspired fan gathers air and conducts it to the battery system to keep things cool while powering down the road at high rates of speed. Under considerable heat, the battery can be cooled by a refrigerant. Miguel notes that first and foremost he wanted things to be air-cooled. The concept is powered by a 120 kW, about a 160 hp, electric engine paired to an advanced CVT transmission.

The batteries are at the heart of the bike to give the two-wheel tyrant enhanced stability and turning control. When it comes to recharging, the luggage compartment along with the battery are accessible after opening the Le Mans style doors. There is also an eight-inch touch sensitive panel that would work with either Andriod and iOS to provide information like battery range, nearest charging points, GPS even the internet.
