Cool Collaboration
The Hot Wheels Legends Tour has been around for a few years now after enjoying instant success among car enthusiasts and fans of die-cast models alike. This isn't terribly surprising because, well, who doesn't want to have their custom automotive build forever immortalized in die-cast form? In its most recent installment, there are plenty of cool contenders vying for that ultimate prize, but our favorite so far has to be this Porsche 944 built as part of a collaboration between Porsche, Mobil 1, and legendary sports car racer Pat Long.

Dirtmeister
Dubbed the "Dirtmeister," this Porsche 944 made its debut at the recent RADwood show, where it attracted considerable attention for obvious reasons - not only the way it looks and its designed purpose, but also the fact that it has already been immortalized in Hot Wheels die-cast form, too.

Dare to Be Different
Long wanted to transform his 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo into something a bit different, a build that would stand out from the pack by focusing on off-road performance rather than on-road or track-based endeavors. That process began with some custom body panels from the folks at Kudensport, which give the sports car more of a shooting brake profile thanks to its extended rear hatch.

Serious Stuff
Underneath, the Porsche utilizes the same sort of suspension upgrades as trophy trucks, paired with off-road tires, and some unspecified engine and transmission upgrades. Fitted with a full roll cage, a navigation system, and off-road lighting, it certainly has the goods to make one heck of a competent weapon off the pavement.

Best of the Best
That combination proved to be an instant hit, as Dirtmeister has already been inducted into the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends, which is reserved for the very best of the best. In fact, this 944 is the very first Porsche vehicle of any kind to receive that honor, which will result in it being released in limited-edition die-cast form.

Coming Soon?
Hot Wheels hasn't released too much information about that future offering, but we do know that it will only produce the die-cast Dirtmeister in limited quantities, which means that those interested in securing one for their own collection will want to keep their eyes peeled for that release info.
