1. All business on the outside

"Leichtbau," which translates to "Light build or lightweight construction," is the term that Porsche uses for a special designation of 86 models of the 964 range that were produced in the early 90s. Adding to that exclusivity is the fact that this sedate and buttoned up Turbo S has a wild side that can be seen by simply opening the doors.

2. Party on the inside

With something akin to a bouquet of flowers exploding all over the interior is a berry-hued color scheme that adorns the Recaro seats, steering wheel, and door handles. Officially, this collection of colors is known as "Triple-Tone" in Rubystone.

3. Adding your personal stamp

The Leichtbau Turbo S was the recipient of 180kg of weight-saving to help the sportscar attack the road much more purposefully. Since 1986 Porsche has been offering personal modifications to customers under the title of Porsche Exclusive. Well-heeled customers can mod to their heart's content with the only exceptions pertaining to technical aspects, legal issues, and qualitative feasibility.

The changes that were made to these lightweight 86 Turbo models were the omission of things like air conditioning units, pesky sound deadening, power steering, aluminum doors, and a nice kevlar hood up front. However, if you look closely at the console up above, you can see that this particular car still has an AC unit in the dash.

5. It could be yours

The Turbo out back rouses the 3.3-liter flat six into making 376 horsepower that then takes a trip through the drool-worthy G50 five-speed transmission before saying hi to those lovely rear wheels. This car really is as pristine as it looks as the owner has carefully maintained it and driven it only on occasion. Thusly, the 24-year-old odometer that's only seen 1,871 miles a year! I believe that being behind the wheel of this car might cause one to rhetorically ask, "Don't I want to go deliciously fast?" The car is headed to the auction block courtesy of Silverstone Auctions right around the corner on May 13th.
