1. What makes it Exclusive?

There is a new limited edition Porsche on the horizon that’s fit for a king. The new 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series will have a production run of just 500 units and go for the slightly higher price than a normal Turbo S at $257,500. For that near $67,000 markup you get far more than just some paint that would make King Midas jealous, you also get 27 more horsepower over the model’s more demure brethren.

2. A unique design

607 horsepower aside, the Turbo S Exclusive Series gains carbon fiber stripes, centerlock wheels, and a new Aerokit. If the look of the new Porsche is something of your liking but not the somewhat gaudy paint, then there is no need to worry. You can have the new coupe in other colors also but from what the press release sounds like even those choices will garner you gold flair on some spots and on the wheels.

3. An exceptional cockpit

For the interior, Porsche took a page from the new Mummy movie and threw gold at almost everything. In the places where there are sans gold there is copper mingled with carbon fiber trim that acts to mimic the exterior of the car. The seats provided are 18-way adjustable and covered in two layers of perforated leather. Rest assured that Porsche has placed plenty of badges and reminders of the limited edition nature of the vehicle and a numbered plaque.

4. Exclusive golden accessories

Something that we haven’t seen before is that a Porsche Design watch will be available to buyers of the car for $11,000 -- and it can be customized to match the particular car it comes with. In addition, there is a fitted luggage set that Porsche has created also for the car; however, it is available as a $6,234 option.

5. Perfect fit and finish

Porsche declared that car is the first of what will be its new “Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur” division that will bring handmade customization to models in an effort to make your vehicle even more special. So there’s another bragging right you can flaunt to your well-heeled friends that a person and not a machine had a hand in building your car (no pun intended).

6. Upgraded performance

Gold paint and accents aside, the added power that Porsche has added to the car help it to achieve a new 0-60 time of 2.8 seconds and a 9.6 seconds time in a run to 124 mph. Although, we think this could be Porsche being coy as a normal 580 horsepower Turbo S can do that 0-60 sprint in as little as 2.5 seconds. For those who were wondering if this would also come with a manual shifter, it won't. Power will be sent through the satisfyingly good PDK seven-speed dual clutch automatic. To push performance, even more, the cars will be fitted with Porsche-Active Suspension Management, the Sport Chrono pack and Dynamic Control all as standard equipment.

Remember, this is a super limited 500 unit run so chances if you want one you’ll need to get in touch with Porsche ASAP on June 8th to seal your Faustian pact. To check out the new Turbo S Exclusive Series in motion, click here for the stunning reveal video.
