The Most Beautiful Porsche 944s on the Forum (in 2004)

1. horsepowerfarm 1987 Porsche 951

The "Who has the most beautiful Porsche 944" thread on RennList started way back in 2004 and is still one of the most popular threads in the water cooled section. It currently stretches to more than 100 pages of pictures and comments! It is amazing that any of the old pictures not hosted on RennList still work, and not surprising how low some of their resolutions are. horsepowerfarm's 951 is clean, and subtly modded, with a hood that people still comment on his post looking to buy.

2. JustinL 1988 Porsche Turbo S

As it says right on the Euro style front plate, JustinL has a Turbo S in a sweet silver rose color. This paint may have fallen out of favor as it started to look a bit dated, but now at 30 years old, it is very much period correct.

3. Friendan Basic Black Porsche 944

There isn't much on this car that differs from that day in the late 1980s when it rolled off the Porsche assembly line. As time marches on, it is increasingly rare to find a clean, straight, unrusted car like this. Black is notoriously the hardest car to keep straight and looking good, but Friendan managed it.

4. 951_vab 1986 Modded Porsche

Obviously, from his screen name, 915_vab has a Porsche 951, and according to his profile, there have been extensive internal mods to bring it up to power. The motor is now "new 3.0L, LR S75/10, worked 2.7 head w.JME cam and race sp and retainers, SFR ST2 Headers, 3" Stainless exhaust all thru to SFR QuietFlow". So it is safe to say he has plenty of power, but it still looks factory from outside.

5. phil0618 Arrest Me Red Porsche 968

The last of the 944 cars have the advantage of several facelifts and detail improvements that made them even sleeker. As to whether the loss of the pop-up headlights was an improvement likely depends on your age, with those who grew up in the 1970s and 80s preferring the early cars. phil0618's car looks good with aftermarket wheels and s slightly lower ride height, but the red just screams "speeding ticket".

6. ELLSSUU Arena Red Porsche 944

This car, in the deep, dark red, unfortunately, suffers from having had its picture taken in 2005 on a digital camera with maybe 2 megapixels. It is a shame because ELLSSUU's car looks much more sophisticated than the bright red 944 you typically see.

7. CPTdooberhead Porsche 944 Turbo

This picture is included because it shows that the 944 doesn't have a bad line or angle on the whole thing. No matter where you look, there is some great little detail, and part of the perfect whole. Another silver rose example, this turbo belongs to CPTdooberhead.
