1. Weight and Cornering

The 2018 911 GT3 weighs in at 3,115 pounds if you choose the manual transmission it will come in at 37 pounds lighter than the older GT3. The lighter weight doesn't go unnoticed, especially since the electronics have been slightly modified to make the car mildly unsettled as you let go of the throttle, which allows it to purposely throw the rear around the corners, without actually sacrificing the grip. The combination of the lighter weight and the modified electronics make for more fun cornering.

2. Interior

The interior of the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 is as pleasureful to be in as it has ever been. The competition bucket seats receive off-seat stripes, giving you the sporty feel you're looking for when you get in a car like this. The stripes are complemented with same-color stitching around the interior, and with the help of the brushed-aluminum on the dash, this interior is as good as it's ever been.

3. Exterior

Not that the old 911 GT3 needed any makeover, the 2018 edition gets a few touches that make it even better. For the sake of aerodynamics, the new 911 GT3 gets a front spoiler, a new rear diffuser, as well as a carbon fiber rear-wing. The 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 looks nothing short of a masterpiece.

4. Engine and Performance

The 2018 911 GT3 comes equipped with a new 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine, which is produced on the same line as the race engines. This engine develops 500-horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque, with an RPM redline of 9,000. With the manual transmission, the GT3 can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, as well as reach a maximum speed of 198 mph.

5. Did it Disappoint?

The 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 did everything but disappoint. The cabin does much more than providing a pleasure to sit in, like provide actual comfort, allowing drivers to spend hours on the track, or drive to work every day without sacrificing comfort in any scenario. As for the power, there aren't many production cars that will give you this performance, while looking as good as the GT3. If you're thinking about buying this vehicle, you're about to make a great decision, but we can't promise you your wallet will be as excited as you are, since the new GT3 starts at $144,650.

6. Notable Features

The 911 GT3 is equipped with rear-axle steering, which turns the wheels in opposite directions than the front to shorten the wheelbase. As the speed increases, all four-wheels start turning together, which allow for much better handling and a symbiotic nature for the driver. The new GT3 also gets the latest infotainment system with Apple Car Play, which allows you to record track data while enjoying a range of options via your iPhone. Finally, all of the GT3 come standard with the latest navigation system.
