Heavily Modified Machine

TechArt and Porsche are two brands that have long been associated with each other, with the former cranking out all sorts of cool parts and accessories for the latter's models, as well as a handful of cool, turnkey builds. The latest is something extra special - what it calls the GTstreet R Flyweight, a heavily modified machine based on the current-gen Porsche 911 Turbo S.

Featherweight

To achieve the "flyweight" portion of the GTstreet R Flyweight's name, TechArt added a fixed carbon fiber front splitter, side air guide fins with integrated canards and a shaped carbon fiber underbody, carbon fiber fenders with wheel arch extensions, a unique rear wing with a carbon fiber base, a carbon fiber front hood and deck lid, and a polycarbonate rear window.

Suspension Upgrades

Underneath, TechArt gives its lightweight 911 Turbo S Öhlins coilers to help improve handling, which the company has tuned to perfection itself. Meanwhile, 20-inch forged Formula VI Race Flyweight wheels help save even more weight, as well as provide a place for a set of sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.

Continuing the Theme

That theme continues inside the cabin, where TechArt combined eye-catching upgrades with lightweight materials, including special stitching on the door panels, seats, dashboard, and center armrest. It also added a set of Recaro  Podium CF Performance seats that are customized for the owner and tip the scales at just around 11 pounds each.

Weight Savings

There are lots of other interesting features present inside the cabin, including seat cushions that were 3D-printed to save weight and provide superior ventilation, a deleted rear seat, a carbon fiber shelf, lightweight carpet, and a new steering wheel, all of which help save around 132 pounds (combined with the exterior upgrades) over a stock 992 911 Turbo S.

Impressive Performance

In terms of power, TechArt gives its special Turbo S its Powerkit TA092/T2.1, which adds optimized turbos, air filters, and a tune, raising output to 789 horsepower and 701 pound-feet of torque from the stock ratings of 640 hp and 590 lb-ft. That's good enough to propel the car from 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds and 124 mph in 7.5 seconds, with a  top speed of 218 mph

Special Package

"Our goal with the GTstreet R Flyweight was to create a real circuit machine," said Tobias Beyer, Managing Director of TechArt. "Through consistent weight reduction, advanced racing technology, and the TechArt performance increase in combination with a club sports interior consistently refined in the Flyweight concept, we have created a unique overall package. We can't wait for our customers to experience it for themselves - both on the most demanding racetracks in the world and on the road."
