TechArt has done it again

Porsche tuner, Techart has produced what could arguably be the best 991 we've seen thus far. The GTstreet RS is based on the 991.2 Turbo S and wears a new body kit made from Forged Design carbon fiber. This new type of body kit features randomly woven carbon strands and provides the sports car with additional downforce without altering the drag coefficient as it slips through the air.

It means business

The front spoiler has an active component that changes the airflow to the radiators along with the rear spoiler that can be adjusted by 15 degrees. NACA ducts in the hood channel vital cool air to the brakes to keep things performing nicely during a heated performance.

Plush but capable

In the cabin, there is a healthy mix of Alcantara and leather as well as virgin wool on sections of the door panels and seat cushions. TechArt says that the material is flame retardant, which gives the car even more track preparedness. All the materials can be painted to the customer's choosing, of course. The lightweight seats come with six-point harnesses, color matching door pulls and a roll bar.

Right at home on the track

Now for the juicy details on what is under that rear hatch: obscenely large newly developed variable geometry turbos for the 3.8-liter flat-six. The engine now produces 760 horsepower and 679 lb-ft of torque with a 0-62 mph time of 2.5 seconds and a 0-124 mph time of 8.1 seconds! The top speed of this hellion is 211 mph.

The GTstreet RS is capable of more with the proper rubber applied on the wheels. “On a high-speed testing ground and equipped with specially homologated sports tires, the new TechArt GTstreet RS performance power kit allows speeds of around 360 km/h (224mph)”, Steven Ratz, technical CEO at TechArt Automobildesign said.

Unfortunately, only 10 examples of this rolling art will be manufactured with each of the cars coming with a racing helmet and a custom bag.
