Porsche Pits Dealer Against Dealer in Restoration Challenge

40 Porsches, 40 Dealerships

40 Porsche dealerships across the Unites States will be presenting their entries to compete in the 2021 Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge. The 40 Porsches in question will include a wide variety of cars from all different eras from all the way back in the 1950s up to the 2000s. 

The Land of Classic Porsches

No country in the world has the density of classic and rare Porsches that we have here in the US. And the expert Porsche mechanics are great at making sure these amazing machines continue to live healthy lives. This competition is a great way for the manufacturer to highlight the level of talent and skill possessed by their technicians.

Porsche-Trained Technicians

Each of the 40 participant dealers is given the task to find a classic Porsche that needs to be brought back to its original glory. Over the next few months, the dealers will be working to restore these vehicles using the extensive portfolio of more than 60,000 unique Porsche Classic Genuine Parts, before the deadline in mid-August.

Wide Variety

You will be able to find a slew of 911s, of course, as well as rare appearances from early 356 models, transaxle models like the 944 and 928, and mid-engine Porsches like the first-generation Boxster, and the Carrera GT supercar, which will be the newest of all the entries for the nationwide Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge.

Winners Announced Late Summer

Winners will be picked this summer from each of the following parts of the country: east, south-central, and west. These three winners will then be finalists in the competition, whereby they will be judged by a panel of experts from Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA) based on an extensive list of criteria. The ultimate winner will be announced in September.
