Porsche 993 911 Packs Twin Turbos and 600 Horsepower
No expense spared Porsche 993 911 build shows just what's possible with a bunch of cash and a lot of performance parts.
Going the Extra Mile
A large percentage of Porsche 911s out there in the world remain stock and unmodified. And given how great these cars are as is, that isn't really surprising. But this wicked 993 we spotted over at Mecum Auctions certainly shows just how much potential they have if you're willing to go the extra mile.

Firebreathing Beast
This particular car started life as a naturally-aspirated Carrera 4 model before it landed in the hands of S-CAR-GO Racing in Southern California. There, they transformed it into a firebreathing beast with amazing craftsmanship.

Wanting More
The 993-gen Carrera 4 certainly packed a lot of potential, but came equipped with a rather meager 285 hp rating from its flat-six. Thus, you can't blame the owner for wanting a little more.

Fancy Duds
But the car's engine upgrades aren't the only thing that's special about this 993. It also features new black leather and Alcantara Recaro A8 race seats with deviating yellow stitching, carbon fiber door panels, and a matching roll bar.

Complete Build
More of a complete build, you won't mistake any part of this 911 for your average, run of the mill 993-gen Porsche, that's for sure.

Twin Huffers
Of course, the modded flat-six is the real story here, however. A pair of GT40 turbos rest underneath a gorgeous custom air box, and they're the main reason the 3.8-liter mill now pumps out 600 hp. But not the only reason.

Fully Built
The fully-built engine also features goodies including an ECU Protomotive conversion, GT3 oil pump, and ported and polished heads. All the power flows through a 6-speed manual transmission on its way to a GT4060 limited-slip differential.

RUF Style
And then there's the exterior of this beautiful ride, which packs a ton of upgrades as well. There you'll find a host of RUF-style body mods including shaved rain gutters, a custom front and rear fascia and decklid spoiler, and a set of 18" HRE R40 lightweight wheels wrapped in Michelin rubber.

Pay the Cost
Overall, it cost a reported $250,000 to build this "ultimate" 993. So it's no surprise that the car was featured at the 2011 PCA Concours Monterey. Now, it's looking for a new home, presumably at a much lower price than what it originally cost!
