1. 964 Resurrection

Larry KosillaRennlister, and founder of AMMO Auto Care has owned this amazing Porsche 964 for years now. But in reality, the finished product is 20+ years in the making. Kosilla first fell in love with the 964 way back in 1995 when he saw Will Smith driving one around in the movie Bad Boys. But as a young detailer, Kosilla didn't quite have the cash for his rapidly appreciating dream ride. At least, not a 964 Turbo.

2. The Hunt Begins

Kosilla began searching for a non-Turbo 964 back in 2012, scouring the Internet as well as the local area. It would be another year before he spotted a potential candidate on eBay. The only problem? The Porsche in question was located on Long Island, which had been ravaged by Hurricane Sandy the year before. Thankfully, however, the owner and the car had escaped the massive flooding that occurred. After a thorough pre-purchase inspection, Kosilla knew he had found his dream car.

3. Beginning the Build

Kosilla was lucky enough to find a 964 that was in fantastic condition overall. But still, it needed some work. The old Porsche was leaking a little bit of oil and power steering fluid and needed fresh axle boots. Kosilla debated pulling the old 3.6-liter flat six and simply repairing it. But his dream for the car also included the use of a 3.8-liter RS engine, and that's ultimately what he decided to go with.

4. More Displacement, More Fun

So Kosilla went to work making the 3.6L to 3.8L conversion with Nickies pistons and cylinders. The upgraded engine also features goodies like EBS Racing valve springs with titanium retainers and 993 Super Sport racing cams. The now 300+ horsepower flat-six sounds phenomenal through FVD Brombacher Sound Edition dual exhaust, and shifts are quick thanks to a lightweight RS flywheel and clutch.

5. More Than a Straight Line Performer

Of course, Kosilla couldn't resist upgrading the already excellent 964 chassis, either. A JRZ RS PRO adjustable suspension is joined by RS sway bars (24mm front and 18mm rear) and a Brey-Krause front strut tower brace to stiffen things up considerably. A 993 big brake kit with PFC brake pads slows it all down quickly while Sparco EVO II seats and 5-point harnesses keep driver and passenger in place. Throw in a couple of unique exterior touches like 993 aero mirrors, an FVD front spoiler, and Cup 1 wheels, and you've got one man's idea of the perfect Porsche.
