Taking a Cruise

The Porsche 968 L'Art debuted back in 2021 as a heavily-modified, artistically-inspired one-off built in collaboration with the fashion brand L'Art de L'Automobile. However, unlike many similar creations, this particular build isn't just sitting static on display in a museum or art gallery - rather, it recently took a bit of a cruise around sunny California, as we can see in this new video from Porsche itself.

Dream Come True

The founder of L'Art De L'Automobile - Arthur Kar - has long been a fan of Porsche in general, and has always wanted to combine his own personal style with a vehicle from the automaker's stable. He managed to make that dream a reality with the 968 L'Art, a car that was also built to celebrate the model's 30th anniversary.

Big Changes

Based on fashion commonly seen in the early 1990s but with an updated and modern flair of its own, the 968 L'Art is a true roadster thanks to the removal of its roof, while the front end has been smoothed out with the deletion of the 968's pop-up headlights. Those pieces were replaced by static LED strips, while L'Art de L'Automobile branding adorns the nose as well.

New Tail

Things get even more futuristic out back, where the Speedster-inspired tail section now sports totally new taillights with "KAR" lettering, a nacelle for each passenger, and an angular, raised deck that gives the car a far different look than any stock 968 out there.

Special Hue

The whole thing was then covered in a custom color dubbed L'Art Green Pearl, which was created specifically for this machine. Inside the cabin, there are an array of custom touches as well, from the likes of Porsche partners TAG Heuer, Recaro, and Bose.

One-Off Bits

Those include a one-off TAG Heuer stopwatch in the dashboard - which was created especially for this build, as well as custom ECCO Leather EL3-covered Recaro bucket seats, and a custom-designed Bose audio system featuring innovative speaker placements and elegant grille designs.

Equally Impressive

It goes without saying that the 968 L'Art looks every bit as good in motion - and perhaps even better - than it does sitting on a static display, which is a testament to its unique design. However, it's equally impressive to see that Porsche isn't afraid to drive this valuable one-off on public roads, too.
