Amazing Discovery

Barn finds are all the rage these days, and on an almost daily basis, we see people "discover" old Porsche vehicles sitting in garages, barns, and other sorts of storage facilities. However, there's no telling how many others are sitting out there in the woods somewhere, just waiting to be discovered, and that includes this Porsche 356 that a Reddit user recently stumbled across in Millersburg, Ohio.

Stumbling Upon Something Special

The person that discovered the Porsche - David - found it while perusing a piece of land that his mother's friend owns. For some time, he would simply walk out there and check it out himself but eventually decided to share it with the world. However, the car itself and how it got here remains a bit of a mystery.

Big Mystery

No one really knows how this rusty, discombobulated 356 got here, nor when that happened, though it's been sitting there for at least 40 years, apparently. However, there's also an abandoned trailer sitting near the Cabriolet, which could signal that someone attempted to rescue it before, but to no avail.

Left to Rot

There are no license plates on the Porsche, while the trailer's tags expired in 1984. As for whether or not the car is worth saving, well, that's up for debate, given how rough it is. It seems as if the previous owner simply rolled it out here with the intention of letting it rot away, which wasn't an uncommon practice at one time, though it hasn't done the car any favors.

Second Chance?

David admits that he's interested in saving the old Porsche, but since he doesn't own the land, that isn't his call to make. However, we have to imagine that this isn't the end for this poor 356 and that someone will come along and give it a second chance at life.
