U.S. New Vehicle Warranty

When it comes to new automotive warranties, terms can vary greatly by automaker, which is confusing enough. Then, there's also the fact that a lot of dealers sell third-party extended warranties that aren't backed by the automaker or even the dealer itself in certain circumstances. Luckily, Porsche's factory warranty is pretty extensive as-is, which gives buyers a little extra peace of mind.

Starting Date

For starters, Porsche's New Vehicle Warranty is good for four years or 50,000 miles - whichever comes first. The warranty begins on the day one purchases the vehicle from a dealer, or, when a vehicle was used as a demonstrator, lease, or company car.

Parts and Accessories

From there, buyers also get a two-year warranty that's good for genuine Porsche parts and accessories that are sold outside of warranty work as well. This includes parts sold by authorized Porsche Centers and PCNA, which must also be installed by an authorized dealer. In this case, there's no mileage limit, unless those parts are covered only for the remainder of this warranty.

Corrosion Protection

Next, Porsche also offers customers a 12-year Corrosion Perforation Limited Warranty, which has no mileage limit, either. This protection covers potential corrosion to a car's body panels, as one might have guessed, and if that rot is bad enough, the automaker will even forgo repair and replace an entire body panel in some circumstances.

CPO Warranty

Finally, we have the Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty, which is good for two years or unlimited miles. This CPO warranty begins after the original New Vehicle Limited Warranty ends by either months or miles - whichever comes first - giving those that buy used an extra bit of protection as well.
