Pay the Cost

For many, the 993 gen Porsche 911 is the pinnacle of air-cooled performance. Unfortunately, it was also the end of it, too. Today, 993s are steadily appreciating in value as a result, with nice examples commanding more and more money on the open market. But this jaw dropping '97 Turbo that recently sold on Bring a Trailer is worth every single penny it raked in, at least to us.

Green With Envy

Forest Green isn't typically a color you associate with a German sports car, but it definitely looks fantastic flanking the gorgeous panels of this 993 Turbo. And the Porsche remains in near perfect condition, thanks to living with one owner its entire life until the selling dealer acquired it. With just 53k miles on the clock, this stunning 911 has plenty of life left in it, too.

Slight Repair

That's not to say that a few repairs haven't been made along the way. According to the seller, the front bumper was repainted to get rid of the inevitable stone chips it had accumulated. The paint was also blended into the front fenders and hood to ensure a uniform look. But it appears that the work was done properly, at least from what we can tell from the pictures.

Supple Cabin

Inside, the Cashmere Beige supple leather covering the seats and door panels looks to be in excellent condition. Optional rootwood trim provides a nice bit of contrast on the shifter and parking brake lever, as does a variety of black trim. Overall, this is a very attractive cabin that's held up quite nicely over the years.

Awash In Luxury

Aside from the paint, leather, and rootwood trim, there are a few additional options on this 993 Turbo that set it apart. They include stainless steel tailpipes and door entry guards, Porsche crested wheel caps, cruise control, and a power sunroof. As it always has been, this Turbo model is awash with luxury features as well as absolute performance.

Mechanical Masterpiece

In this guise, the 993 Turbo sports an M64/60 3.6-liter flat-six under the hood that produces 408 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. The air-cooled masterpiece sends power through a six-speed manual transmission to all four wheels. Outside of routine maintenance, this drivetrain hasn't required any sort of repairs thus far, which is to be expected with so few miles on the clock.

Unique Find

In terms of 993-gen Porsche 911s, they certainly don't get much nicer than this. And while we aren't sure how many of these cars left the factory painted Forest Green, it certainly can't be many. Those facts alone make this beautiful '97 a unique and worthwhile find, one we imagine the new owner will enjoy for many years to come.
