Hot Commodity

Things started out rather well for Formula 1 Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen in 2024, though competition has been heating up as of late for the dominant force. Regardless, Verstappen remains one of the very best drivers in the sport after winning three consecutive driver's championships from 2021-2023. Thus, this 911 GT3 Cup - up for sale by Isringhausen Imports and once owned and operated by Verstappen and his father - will undoubtedly be a hot commodity for some F1 fan.

Something Special

One could successfully argue that any 911 GT3 Cup car is something special, given the fact that these machines tout ultra-lightweight components, loads of aero, and everything one needs to go racing, basically right out of the box. This example has certainly seen plenty of use in a variety of places, too, aside from its notable celerity ownership history.

Blank Slate

Originally acquired by a team in Belgium that supported Max and his father Jos in a variety of Porsche racers, the 991.2 model was eventually sold to a customer in the U.S., who proceeded to use it to compete in the IGT series last season. It has since been serviced by Goldcrest Motorsports and has 70 hours on the clock, and the car's former livery was also removed, leaving a blank slate for the next owner.

Business Cabin

The interior of this Cup car is - as one would expect - quite spartan, with nothing present that would add any sort of unnecessary weight. There is a full-blown roll cage, of course, along with advanced fire and safety systems a cooling setup for the driver's racing suit, and track telemetry technology, to boot.

Mechanicals

Mechanically speaking, this 991.2 911 Cup car is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six powerplant that reportedly generates over 485 horsepower to the rear wheels, mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox for ultra-quick shifts.

Solid Buy?

With a seemingly reasonable asking price of $159,900, we imagine that anyone looking to get out on the track in a Porsche racer will be intrigued by this offering - not to mention just a regular old F1 or Max Verstappen fan who wants to secure a piece of that ongoing legacy.
