A Tame Porsche

The Porsche Taycan was formally introduced to the automotive industry back in 2019. And while Porsche's first fully electric vehicle certainly garnered plenty of attention from enthusiasts in all walks of life, many still felt it lacked a little oomph in the styling department.

Future of Porsche Styling

The Taycan, picking up where the Mission E left off, became a massive leap forward for the Porsche brand as it develops its DNA for the future. The styling language of the EV is a refined and arguably more sophisticated take on the iconic characteristics of Porsche. Companies like Avante, though, couldn't sit idly by without trying their hand at bringing a more sporty feel to the Taycan.

Adding Some Aftermarket Sportiness

Inspired by Porsche's own famous track-ready monsters, Avante has created a trio of body kits that transform the Taycan from a sleek EV to an unapologetically aggressive track machine. The first kit (pictured in the next slide) features a relatively mild set of visual modifications, while the second kit adds a more angry look, and the last one is all-out widebody madness.

Adding Sportiness

With the most basic Avante body kit, the Taycan receives a lower stance and minor aero upgrades in the form of front and side splitters, as well as a mildly modified rear diffusor.

Aggressive Looks

With the next-tier body kit, the folks at Avante design wanted to give the Taycan a significantly more sporty front and rear fascia. At the front, the body kit features larger and more traditionally sporty-looking air inlets, as well as an exaggerated front splitter. The styling cues are homogenous in the front and rear, visually connected by the darker color side skirt and splitter.

911 GT3 RS Inspiration

At the rear, the Avante body kit draws close inspiration from the 911 GT3 RS with an aggressive diffusor. The designers point out that the lack of integrated tailpipes within the rear fascia presented a unique challenge. The less aggressive of the two body kits features a ducktail spoiler at the back, as opposed to the big rear wing.

All Out Track EV

Renderings of the more racecar-like body kit feature much wider fenders than those on the factory Taycan. The additional width is celebrated with air out vents over and behind the front wheels. The hood has also been replaced with a unit that closely resembles that of the 911 GT3 RS, with slot vents at the front.
