Amazing Porsche 356 Fresh off a Stunning Dealer Restoration
This 356 was rejuvenated to take part in the 2021 Porsche Restoration Challenger.
Pure Perfection
There are many fine restorers of Porsche vehicles out there in the world, a natural phenomenon given how valuable and beloved these models have become. But sometimes, the best of the best come from Porsche itself, or its vast dealership network. Just take a look at this insanely gorgeous 1955 356, which was recently restored by Porsche Santa Clarita for the 2021 Porsche Restoration Challenger for proof of that.

Former Racer
The dealer purchased this 356 drop-top from its second owner, then proceeded to refresh it to perfection. The last owner had previously modified the car for racing purposes, and it still sports a few variances from stock today, including shaved rocker moldings and rear reflectors, as well as a louvered decklid.

Polished Powerplant
With the help of parent company Galpin Motors, Porsche Santa Clarita went through every nut and bolt in this classic Porsche. That process included polishing the upgraded 1600SC flat-four powerplant, which is backed up by a 519 transmission.

Re-stitched Cabin
The interior is equally stunning thanks to stock seats that have been recovered in red leather and tartan inserts, which also covers a portion of the door panels. Everything inside the cabin has been touched and polished to perfection, including the instrumentation.

Perfect Contrast
That gorgeous interior is a perfect match for the outside, which is now finished in multiple layers of a stunning blue/green hue. A little contrast comes in the form of gold Halibrand knock-off wheels, which are staggered at 16 inches in the rear and 15 inches up front.

Total Looker
Porsche Santa Clarita didn't bother to mess with most of the 356's other mechanicals, including the brakes, suspension, and exhaust, leaving well enough alone in that regard. Otherwise, this is a truly polished jewel of a car that we can't stop looking at.
