1. Porsche 356 Carrera Speedster

Amongst some of the rarest Porsche ever made, the Porsche 356 Carrera Speedster sits in a category all of its own. The legendary model was in production from 1955 to 1958, and only 151-units were ever produced. The extremely rare body style mixed with Porsche's quad-cam flat-four makes this car nothing short of a legend. Comedian Jerry Seinfeld is selling his very rare 1958 Speedster for over $1.5 million.

2. Porsche 356B Abarth Carrera GTL

You may recognize the Abarth name from Fiat, but the performance badge wasn't always just associated with one automotive brand. Throughout the 1950s and 1960s, Carlo Abarth, who owns a tuning company, was collaborating with numerous automakers, including Porsche. The collaboration started when Porsche approached Abarth to build a lightweight shell for the Carrera. The final build of the car resulted in the winning of the 1960 24 Hour of Le Mans, making this special edition extremely special.

3. Porsche 914-8

The Porsche 914-8 is one of the rarest Porsches out there, simply because only two of them were ever produced. The 914-8 had a 3.0-liter flat-eight engine, which was the same engine found in the 908 race cars. The 914-8 was identical to the 914 in the looks-department, but it performed like a completely different vehicle.

4. Porsche 924 Carrera GT

The Porsche 924 Carrera GT may look just like an average 944, but it is far from being the same. The 924 was a big part of the 24 Hour of Le Mans in the '80s, and the turbocharged Porsche gained some serious reputation throughout its time on the legendary track. Only 426 924 Carrera GTs were ever produced.

5. Porsche 993 Carrera RS

The Porsche 993 Carrera RS is considered one of the best pound for pound Porsches ever made. Thanks to the extremely lightweight body mated to the 3.8-liter flat-six engine that puts out more than 300-horsepower and you've got yourself quite the car. There have been only 1,000 of these vehicles ever produced, making it one of the rarest and coolest Carreras in the entire world.

6. Porsche 935 Street

With 375-horsepower courtesy of a 3.3-liter turbocharged flat-six engine, the Porsche 935 Street is a blast to drive, ride in, or even just see. This is the only road-version of the Porsche 935 race car, and it is the result of the collaboration between Porsche and TAG Group, which owns part of McLaren. If you see this car on the streets, be sure to stare and take pictures for proof.

7. Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion

Perhaps one of the rarest, craziest-looking Porsches to ever hit the production line, the 911 GT1 Strassenversion was designed as a race car for the FIA GT1 class. This unique Porsche is equipped with a flat-six turbocharged engine, which is mounted in the middle of the frame for crazy weight distribution purposes. If you're wondering why you've never seen one before, it's because only 25 of these were ever made.
