1. Circuit of Americas - Austin, TX

Fast straights and tight corners are calling you from this Formula One class track. You can rent the track at the Circuit of Americas in Austin Texas (if you are filthy rich) to test your racing abilities in your new Porsche, or sign up for a track day with one of the local clubs. This track will really put you to the test and you'll quickly find out what you are made of. Check out this awesome venue and find a track day here.

2. Sonoma Raceway - Sears Point, CA

One of the oldest and most fun sports car race venues in America is in Northern California. Perhaps one of the most unique tracks you can visit, Sonoma Raceway features 160 feet of elevation changes throughout the track. While the turns aren't as tight as other tracks, the elevation changes through will surely get your adrenaline pumping. Being near Silicon Valley, you may be sharing the course with guys from Google, and Facebook too, and high paying tech jobs means there are plenty of exotic cars around.

3. Lime Rock Park - Lakeville, CT

Hidden in the beautiful landscape of Connecticut, Lime Rock Park is a very short but fun track that is made for the Porsche's tight handling. This track was founded in 1957, and is one of the first venues to be used for professional sports car racing. You can hone your skills with a professional class and put your racing prowess to the test

4. Virginia International Raceway - Alton, VA

If money is not a factor, you use up all of the lead in your feet while visiting the Virginia International Raceway. There are numerous track configurations to meet your every need and keep it new and challenging. Car & Driver has been running their Lightning Lap series of performance car benchmark test here for more than ten years, so you have a vast index of cars to compare your times to.

5. Laguna Seca - Monterey, CA

Laguna Seca, now known as Mazda Raceway near Monterey, California is a cornering dream. With 11 turns and a 180 foot drop, this tight track will challenge your racing skills like no other. Along with the elevation change, it boasts a highly unique and challenging corkscrew downhill at turns 8 and 8A. This track is a classic and one to put on your bucket list.

6. Watkins Glen - Watkins Glen, NY

Perhaps the grandaddy of all tracks is located in Watkins Glen, NY. The Glen first hosted sports car races in 1948 on a street circuit, and the 3+ mile dedicated course built in the 1950s remains one of the most challenging today. Formula 1 and NASCAR sprint drivers have raced hard here over the years, and there are stories to be told about every corner. This is a special track for both the uninitiated as well as the seasoned Porsche driver. For about $25, you can take two laps with your Porsche behind a pace car, or you can shell out the Benjamins for a more robust ride of your own.

7. The Mid Ohio Sports Car Course - Lexington, OH

Perhaps one of the most unlikely place you'll ever find to track your Porsche is in Lexington Ohio. If you miss this stop, you are surely selling yourself short. The Mid-Ohio 2.5 mile track is super fast with 15 turns that will push your skills to the limit. The Mid-Ohio School is one of the premier racing schools you'll find anywhere and has classes for both the beginner as well as the seasoned racer.
