1. Abandoned in a Backyard

What was up with the '70s that no one thought to take in this classic and give it a warm, safe home? This 1957 356 Speedster was found in Los Angeles, and the owner has owned it since 1971. It spent 42 years under the scrutiny of California weather, and it shows. Still, a savior with the highest bid is going to be able to take it home and show it the love it never got, since it is currently on eBay. For more on the story, click here

2. Abandoned in a Junkyard

Could this have been dumped there last week? While there is little information found on the Internet, this 1976 911 Turbo looks like it is in perfect condition. It makes you wonder what mechanical problems it has that couldn't have been fixed by the owner. For more images of this Porsche and its interior, click here

3. Abandoned in Pond

This Porsche 356 is a mystery and suffered a fate that no one wishes for a Porsche. This Porsche was found in 1970 by the recent buyer of the Wisconsin farm. It was left and used by the sheriff's deputies to practice scuba diving. It suffered the water's rage for 30 years, but that isn't the heartbreaking part. After it was hauled out of the water, the once intact Porsche split. For the full story, click here

4. Abandoned in a Field

By the looks of the dead grass underneath, this Porsche seems to have been parked there for a few months. The harsh environment has not taken over this classic yet. The owner has time to save this from the dangers it might encounter in a wide open area like that. Plus, for the asking price of $50k, the owner might want to reconsider treatment.

5. Abandoned in a Garage

The mystery of abandoned Porsches continues with this garage find. This 930 Slantnose was abandoned in a garage in Pittsburgh and was brought to the world's attention via Reddit. As it turns out, anyone who is willing to bring this Porsche back to life would need to deal with an owner who clearly doesn't care about it. Check out the 2014 stories here and here
