New Year, New Updates

Once only a car company, Porsche branched out to add a variety of crossovers and SUVs to its lineup in recent years, which has helped keep the manufacturer afloat, financially speaking. Regardless, Porsche's car lineup is still an appealing one - even beyond the iconic 911 - and it has also been treated to a number of updates for the 2024 model year, which we've outlined here for everyone's shopping convenience.

718 Cayman

The 718 Cayman soldiers on into the 2024 model year essentially unchanged, save for one important addition - the new Style Edition model, which launched in Europe last year and is now available in the U.S. for 2024. Available on entry-level models with the 2.0-liter four, the Style Edition adds goodies like black or white stripes, striped 20-inch wheels, and black leather seats with Chalk stitching.

718 Boxster

As for the Cayman's open-air counterpart - the Boxster - it's gaining the Spyder RS for 2024, which is essentially a drop-top version of the Cayman GT4 RS, packing the same 4.0-liter flat-six from the 911 GT3 that cranks out 493 hp and 331 pound-feet of torque, along with unique styling and other tweaks. At the lower end of the lineup, the Boxster also gains the same Styling Edition package as the Cayman, too.

Taycan

Porsche's only all-electric model (for now) - the Taycan - is set to receive a refresh for the 2025 model year, but for 2024, it still gets some minor changes. That includes the deletion of the exterior colors Mamba Green, Mahogany, Cherry, and Carrera White, along with new center console cupholder trim for customers who choose either the Leather or Club Leather interior options.

Panamera

The same can't be said for the 2024 Panamera, which has been completely redesigned for the new year. The luxurious sedan features new, evolutionary exterior styling updates coupled with a new interior that packs the new three-screen Porsche Driver Experience digital dashboard, plus an updated entry-level 2.9-liter V6. Unfortunately, both the Panamera Sport Turismo and Cross Turismo have been discontinued, which is bad news for wagon fans, however.

911

Finally, we have the venerable 911, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary in style with the new S/T - a fantastic machine that pairs the GT3 RS's 4.0-liter flat-six with a unique close-ratio manual transmission and the GT3 Touring's chassis. Limited to 1,963 units, it'll be a tough one to find and an expensive one to bring home, however.
