One dead engine leads to a world of opportunity

When Matto acquired his Porsche 996 Turbo, he reached out and connected with Evolution Motorsports to get his hands on some performance parts. He installed everything himself and unfortunately, this included some poorly produced heads studs that eventually cracked and killed his engine.

Bring in the XXXX

Fortunately, at this time Evolution released a new kit called “XXXX” (that is actually the name of the kit). Nobody really knew much about it, but the headline associated with the kit was that a Porsche which had installed it was able to achieve 900hp and broke the Texas Mile Record. Matto was sold.

Some additional modifications were needed

To accommodate the kit, the car’s block was bored from 3.6 to 3.8L. Additionally, a GT2 RS throttle body along with an intake manifold was installed, as well as larger Garrett GT35R turbos, Ferrea valves, and an EVOMS turbo camshaft.

The results of Matto’s efforts pay off

All of these updates led to an immediate upgrade to 1100hp. After some tuning, Matto’s car was able to hit a whopping 1350hp on race gas and approximately 900hp using regular gas.

Some additional nice touches

With greater power comes the need for a better look. And since Matto will more than likely be leaving everyone in the dust, he focused first on the back, which is completely blacked out to show off the German sports car’s nicely designed Y-pipe. Also receiving an update where the car’s seats which were upgraded to full carbon GT3 models instead.
