The Transformation

The once-affordable Porsche Boxster 986 has undergone a remarkable transformation, shedding its modest origins for a more aggressive and track-focused identity. This metamorphosis comes with a pretty hefty price, reflecting extensive visual and mechanical modifications that have propelled it into the realm of track monsters.

Radical Exterior Changes

The visual transformation of this Boxster is evident with its wider body, enhanced aero components, and the complete removal of the roof and windshield. Crafted from lightweight Kevlar and carbon fiber, the new body panels contribute to a reduced overall weight. Striking features include a motorsports-inspired air intake, a sizable rear wing, and a custom roll-over protection bar.

Stripped-Down Interior

Inside, the cabin has been stripped of all non-essential components to maximize its track performance. Custom carbon-fiber replacements for the dashboard and center console, racing buckets, motorsport switches, and an integrated roll cage define the interior. Remarkably, the tuned roadster now weighs just 980 kg (2,161 lbs), a significant reduction from the stock Boxster 986, which typically ranged from 1,250 to 1,320 kg (2,756 to 2,910 lbs).

A Powerhouse Engine

Beneath the rear hood, the mid-mounted powertrain has received a substantial upgrade—a twin-turbo 3.6-liter flat-six engine producing a staggering 617 HP. The chassis has been visibly lowered, and the car now rides on new 18-inch center-lock alloy wheels with high-performance slick tires. Braking is handled by larger disc brakes with AP calipers at the front and Brembos at the rear, complete with a Bosch ABS system.

The Price Tag

While the original listing didn't specify the price, it has been reported that this extraordinary Boxster comes with a hefty price of €100,000. This price point positions it against several capable track cars, making it a significant investment for enthusiasts seeking a unique and powerful track experience.

Location

For those intrigued by this special Boxster, it can be found in Sint-Truiden, Belgium. While it may no longer represent an affordable entry into the Porsche owner's club, this extensively modified 986 offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to own a track-focused Porsche that's sure to turn heads on and off the circuit.
